BAProject is pleased to present the exhibition Xie Xiaodong: Negative Form. Xie Xiaodong’s practice is an experiment with materiality as its medium. Through shaping and burning, he etches carbonized textures onto wooden surfaces, situating his creations at the intersection of materiality and formal aesthetics—both violent and poetic.
